Job Overview A law firm seeks a Medical Malpractice Litigation Attorney in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly within the healthcare sector, and will be adept at managing complex cases from inception through trial. Duties Manage all aspects of medical malpractice litigation, including case assessment, discovery, and trial preparation. Draft court pleadings, motions, and responses to discovery requests. Collaborate with medical experts to develop case strategies. Research and draft legal memoranda and briefs. Participate in pretrial and trial hearings, preparing attorneys and clients. Assist in the preparation of appeal briefs and oral arguments. Requirements 3 or more years of litigation experience; medical malpractice experience preferred. Proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism and client focus. Education Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school with an outstanding academic record. Certifications Admission to the Virginia Bar and in good standing.
