Job Title

Raton, NM | Critical Access Hospital – LDRP Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Alternating 36/48-hour weeks (3x12 or 4x12 shifts, 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend | Blocked scheduling available (7 on / 7 off rotation)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an LDRP unit with 4 standard LDRP rooms, 1 triage room, and a well-baby nursery
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout all phases of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
• Document all patient care and clinical findings accurately using Cerner EMR
• Participate in task floating within the hospital or to an affiliate facility as required, in accordance with client policies and Joint Commission standards
• Adhere to all scheduling requirements, including holiday coverage expectations and RTO policies as outlined at time of submission

Required Qualifications

• Active New Mexico RN license or valid compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR is required for all travelers
• 2 professional references required
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and are not eligible for this position
• All RTO must be submitted at the time of initial submission; RTO requested after submission will not be considered, and no RTO will be approved around the holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery or LDRP setting
• Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital environment
• Comfort with blocked scheduling and flexible rotation patterns
