WeCare The Laurels Personal Care Home is actively seeking a motivated Medication Tech for our community in Wellsboro, PA. Key Responsibilities Passes medications and gives treatments according to physician's orders and in accordance with facility policy. Provides heedful care tasks, personal hygiene services, housekeeping tasks and other related support services essential to the resident's health. Follows schedule in accordance to Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) standards. Alerts Administrator of any change in resident's physical or mental health status. Reports and documents all resident incidents and emergency medical calls to administrative staff. Ensures that residents receive meals during scheduled times. Does not leave floor unattended without notifying a fellow employee. Gives shift report on status of residents. Documents in the resident records. Responsible for notifying PC Manager or Charge Nurse of medications needing to be refilled. Assures personal and staff compliance to residents' rights. Provides a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members. Monitors personal and staff compliance to all State and federal requirements including but not limited to blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety.
