Senior Tax Manager

This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned tax professional who excels in providing top-notch client service, managing intricate tax engagements, and driving the growth and development of both the team and the firm.Key Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a varied client portfolio, including both business and individual clients.Oversee and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns and workpapers.Act as a strategic advisor, deeply understanding client business objectives and offering tailored solutions.Forge and sustain strong relationships with client executives, business owners, and internal stakeholders.Manage multiple client engagements efficiently, focusing on planning, staffing, budgeting, timelines, deliverables, and profitability.Drive sustainable firm growth through proactive client service and strategic guidance.Contribute to business development through networking, proposal support, and identifying new service opportunities.Supervise, mentor, and develop Managers, Seniors, and Staff Accountants, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.Stay abreast of tax law changes and industry developments through continuous learning and professional involvement.Reinforce the firm’s strategic objectives and commitment to exceptional client service.Position Requirements:Active CPA license is mandatory.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment.Proven expertise in managing complex tax engagements and serving as a trusted advisor.Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and retaining professional staff.Excellent analytical, technical, project management, and interpersonal skills.Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong client-service orientation.Capability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and responsiveness.Benefits:The role offers a competitive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our team members.
