Senior Tax Manager - Business and Individual Tax
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000 to $170,000 per year
Lead complex tax engagements for businesses and individuals, advise owners directly, and help grow the team and the firm.
Must-Haves
- Active CPA license
- 8+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Expertise in federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning
- Proven business development and client relationship success
- Track record of developing and retaining professional staff
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
What You’ll Do
- Deliver tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for business and individual clients
- Review complex federal, state, and local returns and workpapers
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business owners and executives
- Manage engagement staffing, budgets, timelines, and profitability
- Drive business development through networking and proposals
- Supervise and mentor Managers, Seniors, and Staff
- Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends
Nice-to-Haves
- Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting
- Experience with closely held or owner-managed businesses
- Pass-through entity and high-net-worth individual tax experience
