In this role, you'll partner with accomplished surgeons and empathetic nursing staff, ensuring that every patient's surgical experience is efficient, compassionate, and centered on their overall health. Whether you're preparing patients for surgery or confidently assisting with instruments during procedures, your contributions will leave a lasting impact in a facility that truly values your skills and determination. Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, which include physical assessments and in-depth reviews of medical histories
- Aid in diagnosing surgical conditions via imaging and lab result interpretations
- Work closely with surgeons in formulating and implementing tailored surgical treatment strategies
- Provide critical intraoperative assistance by prepping surgical suites, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently passing instruments
- Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative support, encompassing medication administration, wound care, discharge arrangements, and patient education
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgery is strongly preferred
- Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
- In-depth understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques
- Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic results and contribute to intricate clinical decisions
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to succeed in high-pressure situations, especially during surgeries
