About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Hedge Funds and Liquid Alternatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, monitoring, and evaluating a range of alternative investment products, including hedge funds, liquid alternative mutual funds, and various tax-aware solutions. This role involves producing detailed commentary, constructing proposals, and ensuring platform coverage. The AVP will also be involved in building ad hoc reports, updating databases, and presenting product, strategy, and market commentary to the broader team with a high degree of professionalism. Interaction with financial advisors and their clients is a key aspect of the position. Applicants should have expert knowledge of hedge fund investment concepts, strategies, and risks, as well as private placement concepts and regulations. Advanced understanding of global financial markets and investment instruments is essential. The role requires the ability to present complex information clearly and the capacity to work independently with professional judgment. A Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience. A Series 7 license or the ability to obtain one within 12 months is mandatory, with CFA, CAIA, or CFP designations being preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, and familiarity with Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, PowerBi, and computer programming languages is also desirable.
