Job Description:


- Position: Acute Travel RN - Med/Surg (8th Floor)
- Location: Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA

- Specialty Focus: Neuro Med Surg with a dedicated team for adult patient care
- Work Schedule:
- 7 PM to 7 AM shifts
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend rotation: 2 of 4 weekends, with options for straight weekend shifts
- Patient Ratios: Optimal care with 5:1, 6:1 ratios
- Unit Key Details:
- 22 beds available
- Equipment includes Mindray vital sign machines, GE EKG, cardiac monitors
- EHR system: EPIC


Expectations:


- Certification Requirements:
- NIH and Swallow Screen preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- Competency in dysrhythmia required
- Training:
- Dysrhythmia and math dosage test on day one of orientation
- Comprehensive welcome packet and study guide provided

Desired Qualifications:


- Common diagnosis and treatments include:
- CVA, TIA, inability to ambulate, seizures, common urinary, common respiratory, and rarely cardiac issues
- Suitable candidates will possess strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
