Schedule:

12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in each 6-week scheduling period. Self-scheduling with leadership oversight.

Highlights:

- Fast-paced cardiac and stroke telemetry unit with high patient turnover (78-90 patients weekly)- Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with team lead support for admissions and discharges- Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone with titration responsibilities- Pre/post procedure care for cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker implantations, and peripheral vascular procedures- Epic (Dimensions) documentation system with Pyxis medication management- Contract length of 13 weeks or longer through February 27 end date- 36-hour unit orientation provided during first week- May care for COVID-positive patients utilizing high-flow oxygen and BiPAP during surge periods

Requirements:

- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)- Minimum 2 years of acute cardiac telemetry experience in similar high-acuity, fast-paced environment- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale- Strong IV skills and telemetry interpretation experience- Experience with cardiac drip management and titration- Comfortable managing 6-patient assignments with frequent turnover- Experience with TR bands, post-cardiac catheterization care, and cardiac interventions- Ability to work every other weekend and required weekday shifts- Willingness to take call and float as needed based on census- Must be available every day during first week for hospital and unit orientation- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
