The Office of Operational Services coordinates and directs all facilities-related operational support services, including the agency warehouse, print shop, and mailroom operations.## Role OverviewThe Warehouse and Customer Delivery Services unit manages the agency's centralized warehouse operations, print shop, inventory control, and distribution of equipment and supplies. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized professional to join our team.## Key Responsibilities* Manage the Warehouse Supervisor and oversee daily warehouse operations, including establishing product handling and storage requirements, evaluating policies, and improving processes related to receiving, inventory control, and shipping.* Responsible for the overall design and optimization of warehouse operations, including facility layout, product flow, and equipment recommendations.* Lead materials management and inventory control processes, including supply replenishment and annual inventory audits.* Manage the agency-wide water distribution contract and oversee delivery schedules.* Coordinate with DOF contractors and business units to ensure timely monthly deliveries.* Oversee daily operations of the DOF Print Shop, including maintenance of the digital printing schedule.* Oversee staff managing the distribution of all 311 literature requests.* Assist the Director with tracking, filing, and the retrieval of agency records requests.* Assist the Director in overseeing the distribution of Parking, Moving, and Criminal Court Summonses.* May assume the responsibilities of the Director during their absence.## Qualifications1. Six years of full-time progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations, at least 18 months of which must have been in a managerial or administrative capacity requiring independent decision-making concerning management or planning, allocation of resources, and the scheduling and assignment of work; or2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above. Education may be substituted for the general administrative experience (but not for the 18 months of managerial experience) at the rate of 1 year of college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 4 years of college for 2 years of experience.## Additional Information* In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.* This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program.* The City of New York is an inclusive equal opportunity employer committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.
