Location This is a hybrid remote/in‑office role. About the Team As a Manager, FP&A of an established FP&A organization, you will partner with several functions and their senior leadership teams. You will partner with the teams to ensure operational plans are aligned with financial goals and create transparency and deliver important insights and suggestions that allow us to make the right decisions to propel the business forward. You will work with the team to deliver insights, guide annual and long‑range planning, budgeting, forecasting and monthly plan vs. actual performance analysis. You will also coordinate with other Finance team members to guide the monthly closing and reporting process. Responsibilities Assist in expense forecasting, reporting and analysis for distribution and presentation to executive management. Analyze historical performance to understand trends and key drivers. Make recommendations to improve performance and processes based on findings. Work cross‑functionally with business partners including Finance, Sales, Sales Operations and Product/R&D to gather reporting requirements and build reporting that enables decision‑making. Streamline and reporting across multiple, disparate systems to drive efficiencies and increase accuracy. Automation of manual reporting efforts through creating reports in Workday, SalesForce, Tableau, Drivetrain. Creating KPIs/metrics to better understand the business and impact decision‑making and strategic direction. Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting process, strategic and long‑range planning. Establish processes and track performance against annual plans, forecasts and projections. Assist in various finance led ad‑hoc requests from the CFO and senior management. Assist with the annual budget and planning process. Synthesize complex financial analysis into easily digestible and actionable communications to support decision‑making. Qualifications Role involves building relationships across the organization, communicating and presenting ideas to management and influencing decision‑making. Experience turning financial data into relevant insights that support sound decisions. Ability to be adaptable and flexible while responding to deadlines on assignments and workflow fluctuations. Ability to work with concepts and work independently. Experience working with Financial Planning & Reporting tools. Promote for process improvement. Extraordinary Excel / PowerPoint / financial modeling skills. Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting. Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in FP&A and a Bachelor's Degree. Experience with Adaptive, Tableau or similar forecasting and visualization tools. Compensation The base salary pay range for this position is $114,750 - $153,000. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non‑sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
