This position will play a key role within the Finance team, overseeing and enhancing critical business functions within the accounting office. Under the direction of the Director of Finance and Accounting, this role manages the accounts payable process, handles relevant annual tax filings, oversees the corporate credit card program, and management of semi-monthly payroll along with the associated payroll benefits posting process to the general ledger. This position will work to improve business processes under their direction by utilizing technology and best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities: Lead a team of 3 to manage the procure to pay (p to p) process, by ensuring proper business practices, quality improvement of current procedures and implementing policies and best practices Ensure timely filing of annual tax reporting forms Manage corporate credit cards expense management system, including implementing new policies and procedures to reduce risk and improve the compliance, efficiency and effectiveness of the corporate card program Oversee semi-monthly payroll and associated payroll benefits entries to the general ledger and partner with HR/Payroll department. Help ensure that payroll processes are as automated and effective as possible by using technology and reducing manual interventions. Help with the month-end, quarterly and year-end closing processes Help prepare schedules and analysis for the annual financial audit Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar discipline 7 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 4 years in the nonprofit sector Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience communicating and explaining complex financial information Experience manipulating, organizing, and presenting large amounts of data Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills required Experience with non-profit enterprise software, such as SAGE Intacct, Expensify, Workday, Financial Edge, or similar required Special Considerations: The anticipated salary range for this position is $96,647.00 - $120,809.00 annually.
