The Equipment Operator is responsible for performing routine equipment checks and maintenance, loading and unloading equipment, and ensuring sites are kept clean and equipment is safely turned off and stored. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of equipment operation, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.ResponsibilitiesEnsuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.Cleaning and performing regular safety checks on equipment.Training new crew members in the safe operation of equipmentPerforming other construction duties as neededEnsuring sites are kept clean and safe.Attending meetings and refresher courses to ensure responsible and equipment operation.Identify faults and troubleshooting equipment as required.Operator RequirementsProficient with backhoe, mini excavator, and skid steer.Able to load dump trucks and take the soils to landfills for disposal.Able to load trucks and assist trucks into jobsites.CDL class A with no restrictions.Able to lift up to 50lbs.Able to assist foreman with jobsite tasks.Work in all weather conditions.Physical RequirementsMust be able to walk and work on uneven terrain, including pea gravel and excavationsMust be able to climb in and out of equipment safelyMust be able to pull and break pipes looseMust be able to wear and properly utilize fall protection equipmentMust be able to enter confined spaces to perform tasks (when trained and authorized)Must be able to pass a DOT physicalMust be able to work outdoors in hot and cold environmentsMust be able to pass a respirator fit test and medical evaluation when requiredMust be able to drive for extended periods of time safely and maintain focus while operating a vehicleCompensation and Benefits10 Paid HolidaysFlexible Time Off401(k) Company MatchHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHSA and FSADisability & Occupational Accident InsuranceCompany-Paid Life Insurance PolicyEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)World-class paid training program for you to learn the skills for long term career success.
