General Summary: Assistant Clinical Manager, Medical/Surgical Oncology

Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital

Full Time 40 hours/week, there is flexibility in scheduling, however, this role primarily supports off-shift operations. Approximately 75% of hours will be scheduled off-shift and during evenings, nights.

Under the supervision of the Director / Nurse Manager, the Assistant Clinical Manager assumes both a clinical and management role. This position is responsible to plan, organize, and direct the provision of patient care services within the department. The Assistant Clinical Manager is to assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of budgets, quality improvement programs, staffing levels, goals, objectives, regulatory compliance, and policies within the department. Also the Assistant Clinical Manager is to assist in the evaluation and discipline of personnel.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Two years RN experience. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES: Current RN license in the State of Michigan. BCLS/ACLS per unit's standard. Certifications appropriate for specific unit.

3–5 years of Acute Care Nursing experience, with strong preference for Med‑Surg and/or Oncology background. Previous charge nurse, lead RN, or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience with: Staffing, scheduling, and labor management. Coaching, performance management, and staff development. Throughput, patient flow, and discharge planning

Nursing Units 4C and 4D are adult inpatient units consisting of a 17-bed Medical-Surgical unit (4C) and a 15-bed Medical-Surgical/Oncology unit (4D). Together, these units provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for a diverse population of medical, surgical, and oncology patients. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality care, promoting positive patient outcomes, and supporting patients and families throughout their healthcare journey.
