Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique experiences and needs, guiding the development of personalized treatment plans. Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individuals, taking into account their cultural backgrounds and personal experiences. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address a range of mental health concerns while promoting resilience and overall well-being. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for all patients. Provide crisis intervention during urgent mental health situations, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a calm demeanor. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and available community resources to empower them in their healing journey. Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards. Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training sessions to enhance team effectiveness and service delivery. Remain informed about current research and best practices in mental health therapy, particularly as they relate to culturally relevant considerations. Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily focuses on serving individuals from diverse backgrounds, including underserved ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ clients, and immigrant communities seeking mental health support. You will play a vital role in not only treating mental health disorders but also advocating for culturally competent care and fostering an environment that respects and celebrates diversity. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas is mandatory to ensure compliance with local regulations. Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methods, and a strong commitment to delivering culturally competent therapeutic care. Experience with both individual and group therapy sessions, employing inclusive and responsive therapeutic techniques. Proficient crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations. Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a demonstrated history of building strong rapport with a varied client base. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications is essential for efficient documentation and communication. Strong commitment to professional ethics, including maintaining confidentiality and establishing clear professional boundaries. Preferred Experience Experience working within multicultural settings and understanding the specific challenges faced by diverse populations can enhance your effectiveness in this role. Previous involvement in community outreach initiatives or educational workshops to promote mental health awareness is preferred. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development, particularly in culturally relevant therapeutic practices. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
