Endorsement Underwriter

Job Summary The Endorsement Underwriter is a critical technical role within our Underwriting Center, responsible for the underwriting analysis, pricing, and negotiation of commercial policy changes and service requirements. This role manages a complex portfolio of business, serving as a key liaison between field underwriters and agency partners. You will exercise independent judgment to ensure that all endorsements align with our corporate risk appetite while maintaining high-touch service standards for our brokerage plant. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and underwrite complex endorsement requests by analyzing loss history, exposure changes, and policy forms to ensure continued account profitability. Utilize underwriting principles to price mid-term changes. Proactively negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with agents to address concerns and overcome objections. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned brokers and field offices. Manage the end-to-end service lifecycle of the portfolio, ensuring high retention and account integrity. Partner closely with Local/Field Underwriters to communicate the impact of endorsements on renewals and long-term account strategies. Maintain rigorous documentation of the underwriting thought process and decision-making rationale. Ensure all actions adhere to jurisdictional regulations and internal corporate audit standards.
