About Halftone

Halftone makes custom merch and decorated apparel for brands that care how their product looks and feels. We work with music and entertainment (artists, labels, management, tours), consumer brands, corporate marketing teams, restaurants and hospitality groups, and retail.

A 40-year Chicago manufacturing operation stands behind us, so our reps sell with real production capacity: screen printing, embroidery, DTG, DTF, and in-house fulfillment for online stores and drops.

The Role

This is an entry-level, commission-based sales role based in Chicago (in-person) or New York (remote), for early-career professionals who want to build a sales career and earn based on results. You’ll build your own book of business from scratch. You’ll prospect new accounts, run full-cycle sales from first touch to reorder, and grow long-term client relationships.

No industry experience is required. We train you from day one on product, decoration methods, pricing and our sales process. We need drive, curiosity, and the discipline to do the outbound work every day.

What You’ll Do

• Prospect and open new accounts across music/entertainment, brands, corporate marketing, hospitality and retail
• Run a daily outbound cadence of personalized emails, sequenced outreach and warm calls, all logged in HubSpot
• Research targets and build prospect lists using Apollo and our industry databases
• Run discovery, scope projects, and build quotes with our internal pricing tools and team
• Present product, decoration and fulfillment options, including online stores and merch drops
• Co-manage accounts with our internal sales and customer service team, who handle order entry, art and production follow-up so you can stay focused on selling
• Grow existing accounts through reorders, new programs and seasonal planning
• Join morning and end-of-day sales check-ins to share commitments, pipeline and wins
• Represent Halftone at client meetings, shows and industry events as agreed

Who You Are

Required

• Early in your career (recent grads welcome) and serious about building a sales career
• Motivated by commission: you want your earnings tied to your effort
• A hunter mindset: comfortable with cold outreach, follow-up and hearing no
• Consistent: you hit daily activity targets without being chased
• A strong writer who can send a short email someone actually answers
• Organized and coachable: you take feedback and apply it fast

Nice to have

• Experience in sales, recruiting, hospitality, events, or any target-driven role (internships count)
• Connections in music, entertainment, consumer brands or hospitality
• Familiarity with HubSpot or another CRM
• Interest in apparel, merch, design or brand culture
