Job Title: Child Crisis Therapist

Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours/weeks

Scheduled Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5PM, two evenings per week 11:30AM-8PM

Program/Location: CT Hope, Willimantic, CT

About the Position: Child Crisis Therapist

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides crisis assessment, outreach, and follow up to monitor status of clients in crisis.
• Documents ongoing client progress and outcomes
• Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
• Works with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural supports.
• Maintains collaborative relationships with family members and other service providers
• Performs home and community-based care.
• Responsible for Maintaining Client and Staff Records According to Agency Policy
• Participates in weekly supervision and meetings to review client and program progress.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree or higher in mental health field

Experience: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience working with serious emotional disorders and their families. Demonstrated training and experience in assessment, crisis evaluation and de-escalation of crisis situations. Has worked in collaboration with others.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: LMSW, LMFT-A, LPC-A, or higher licenses.

Compensation: $60,496/annually minimum and up commensurate upon experience.
