What We Offer: 24-hour Death & Dismemberment benefits The opportunity to gain Firefighter I Certification (required within 2 years) Firefighter II, EMT, Haz-Mat, Driver Operator What You’ll Do: You will provide a vital service by preventing and combating fires, responding to hazardous material incidents, and performing special rescues. Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be 18 years of age or older Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Kansas Class C driver’s license. Experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right person Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and job placement assessment. While this position does not have residency requirements, the employee must be able to respond to the department within 15 minutes to meet operational needs.
