Assignment: August 17, 2026 – May 27, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time (Approximately 33.25 hours per week)
Work Setting: In Person

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Available Positions (Please Specify Your Preference When Applying):

• Life Skills Self-Contained Teacher – Beulah Park
• Instructional/Resource Teacher – Shiloh Park

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized instruction based on each student's IEP.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement.
• A copy of your current PEL must be submitted with your application.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Previous special education experience is preferred but not required.

Assignment Details:

• Full-time, in-person position.
• Approximately 33.25 hours per week.
• School year contract: August 17, 2026 – May 27, 2027.
