# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – South Texas Coast**Start Date:** September 14, 2026 **Location:** Coastal Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or night shifts available; 1:4 patient ratio for ESI 4-5 (low acuity), may take up to 6 patients; shift huddles at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

Highlights:

• 16-bed Emergency Department with 8 hall chairs focused on low-acuity care (ESI levels 4 and 5)
• Rapidly transitioning from a Level IV to a Level II trauma hospital – be part of an exciting transformation
• EMR: Meditech with integrated vital signs documentation
• Equipment includes cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, ultrasound technology, and more
• Supportive team environment with 6-7 staff members per shift including charge nurse, triage nurse, and support personnel
• Emphasis on timely, high-quality care for Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and trauma patients with climbing patient satisfaction scores

Requirements:

• Active RN license eligible to practice in Texas
• Level II or Level III trauma experience required
• Current certifications: TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS
• Minimum two years of emergency department experience preferred
• CEN, TCRN, or CPI certification highly desirable
• Must complete mandatory EMTALA training
• Strong skills in compassion, urgency, and teamwork – critical to success in this role

Responsibilities:

• Patient assessments, documentation, and medication administration
• Wound care, splinting, IV insertion, and lab draws
• Care coordination for patients across all ESI levels (5 through 1)
• Participation in mandatory shift huddles and adherence to unit protocols
