# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** September 14, 2026 **Location:** Corpus Christi, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts; day shift and night shift positions available; shift huddle at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM mandatory; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio for low acuity patients (ESI 4 & 5), may extend to 1:6**Highlights:** - 16-bed emergency department with 8 hall chairs treating primarily low-acuity patients (ESI levels 4 & 5)- Facility transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma designation, offering expanded clinical exposure- EMR: Meditech with automated vital signs documentation- Equipment includes cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, ultrasound, Tonopen, and more- Focus on timely care protocols for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients- Collaborative team environment with emphasis on compassion, urgency, and teamwork**Requirements:** - Level II or Level III trauma experience required- Current TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required- CEN or TCRN certification preferred- Two or more years of emergency department experience preferred- CPI certification a plus- Skills in assessments, documentation, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV insertion, specimen collection, and lab draws- Ability to provide care across all acuity levels (ESI 5 through 1)**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** Join a progressive emergency department that is climbing the ranks in both patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
