Company Description Corban OneSource is a small but growing Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) partner that helps midsize and mid-market organizations across the United States and Canada streamline HR operations and reduce administrative burdens. The company provides fully managed benefits administration, payroll, HR services, and HCM technology support, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and cost control. As a Managed Service Provider, Corban OneSource manages day-to-day HCM system operations, including ADP Workforce Now and Paylocity, so clients can focus on other strategic functions.

Role Description The Controller is a full-time hybrid (3 days in office) role the reports to the CEO. This person is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities for Corban OneSource. This role manages all client billing, general ledger, prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensures compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements. The Controller will develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include supervising accounts payable and receivable, cash management, payroll accounting integration, and internal controls over financial processes. The Controller will collaborate with leadership, operations, and HR teams, coordinate audits and tax filings with external partners, and continuously improve financial systems and procedures to support a growing managed services business.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and familiarity with GAAP.

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting to support strategic decisions.

• Proficiency with accounting and ERP/HCM systems (e.g., Sage) and advanced Excel skills.

• Background in internal controls, compliance, audit coordination, and risk management in a corporate or services environment.

• Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff, manage cross-functional collaboration, and communicate complex financial information clearly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\n
• Experience in managed services, outsourcing, HR/payroll, or professional services organizations is highly beneficial.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize multiple deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
