Energy Billing Analyst for AI Evaluation

Billing analysts apply hands-on utility metering, customer operations, and energy billing system expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and produce detailed feedback that improves AI understanding of utility workflows and customer data management. This is a remote, part-time, project-based contractor role you can perform alongside other commitments.

• Use your practical experience with utility metering, customer operations, and billing systems to assess AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and relevance.
• Create expert-level training data and annotations based on real-world workflows and system behavior.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback that helps AI models better reflect utility billing processes and customer data handling practices.
• Work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams to complete review and annotation tasks.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in utility metering, customer operations, or related energy functions.
• Relevant job titles include Meter Data Analyst, Customer Ops Analyst, Billing Analyst, Energy Accountant, or equivalent roles in the energy industry.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following systems or tools: Oracle MDM, Oracle CC&B, SAP, Power BI.
• Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on asynchronous tasks.
• No prior AI or machine learning experience is required.

• Part-time, hourly contract engagement as an independent contractor.
• Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hours required.
• Typical contributor involvement is approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
• This is an ongoing, project-based arrangement. Placement depends on current project needs, and contributors may be considered for additional projects as they become available.

Up to $85/hr (depending on the project)
