Energy Regulatory Analyst for AI Evaluation

Regulatory Analysts apply hands-on energy regulation, rate case analysis, and regulatory reporting expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and to create expert-level training data that improves AI understanding of regulatory workflows and energy finance practices.

• Review AI-produced responses for technical accuracy, relevance, and alignment with real-world regulatory workflows.
• Produce expert-level examples and annotations that reflect practical rate case analysis, regulatory reporting, and compliance procedures.
• Use your experience with industry tools and datasets to validate AI outputs and document corrections.
• Provide clear, written feedback to AI research teams so models better reflect industry practices.
• Work asynchronously with project teams and follow provided task guidelines and quality standards.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in energy regulation, rate analysis, or regulatory compliance.
• Relevant roles include Regulatory Analyst, Rate Case Analyst, FERC Reporting Analyst, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: SAP, Oracle MDM, Power BI.
• Strong written communication, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an asynchronous environment.
• No prior AI experience required.

• Engagement type: part-time, hourly contract work as an independent contractor.
• Location: fully remote.
• Schedule: flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement. Most contributors work approximately 5-20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
• Ongoing, project based participation. Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs, with consideration for future project opportunities as they become available.

Up to $85/hr (depending on the project)

• Professionals with at least 2 years of relevant energy regulation, rate analysis, or regulatory compliance experience.
• Experience working with SAP, Oracle MDM, Power BI is preferred.
• Ability to perform careful written reviews and to communicate feedback clearly in writing while working asynchronously.

• When selected, complete project-specific onboarding and any assigned qualification tasks.
• Begin assigned project work and bill for hours worked under the contract arrangement.
