Job Posting Title: Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - St. Louis, MO Therapeutic Area: Cardiovascular Location: Field - United States (Primary Job Posting Location: St. Louis, MO) Position Summary The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) plays a critical role in our unique customer model to execute BMS’s aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs). The TAS drives demand for BMS medicines within the portfolio to appropriate patients, engaging HCPs with a differentiated customer experience (Cx) through scientific dialogue and collaboration with internal BMS functions. The role is field‑based, requiring frequent travel to meet external customers. The TAS builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community‑based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical group practices, and other stakeholders, serving as their primary point of contact. Key Responsibilities Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region, meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets in a compliant manner. Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients. Maintain, continuously grow, and demonstrate high scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas. Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans. Use available tools (e.g., SOPHIA) to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans. Provide feedback on tool usage to leadership to enable continuous improvement. Demonstrate scientific expertise using approved scientific resources and publications to present information to HCPs, ensuring medical accuracy. Conduct in‑office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product‑related scientific information consistent with label. Organize external speaker programs, selecting approved speakers and facilitating scheduling and logistics. Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications; engage real‑time medical support through Medical on Call. Collaborate proactively with other field teams to ensure the best Cx for HCPs. Gather and share relevant insights and information internally with stakeholders to better serve customers. Comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience, plus 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing. Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers and stakeholders. Preferred experience in cardiovascular therapeutic area. Strong account management skills, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record. Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross‑functionally with a positive team mindset. Strong selling and promotional skills proven through performance history. Starting compensation range is for full‑time employees; additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility.
