Program Manager rather than shadowing someone elseCoach staff during incidents and run the debrief afterward, the kind of experience employers look for in the next leader they promotePer diem coverage for a leave of absence with potential to extend past 3 months, giving you a defined window to show what you can doA dedicated Arbor point of contact who gives you prompt, honest communication, with 24/7 support behind youQualifying employees have access to medical, dental, and vision coverage, short- and long-term disability, AD&D, and sick time.ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day youth experience in a residential program, keeping daily routines, structure, and a safe, nurturing environment in placeSupervise and coach shift supervisors and residential counselors, including documented weekly supervision and support during and after incidentsReview shift documentation and incident and restraint reports, and help manage the schedule, including call-outsWork with the program clinician and treatment team to carry out each youth's treatment planAdminister medications under MAP guidelines and lead the program in the Program Manager's absenceJob RequirementsQualificationsReports to the Program ManagerEvening and weekend availabilityComfortable working with children and youth ages 6-22, and able to respond positively to youth with emotional and behavioral needsStrong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to follow and carry out regulatory requirementsAble to lead a team and keep the Program Manager informedLicenses and CertificationsMAP (Medication Administration Program) certification; if not currently certified, must obtain it within six months of hireSafety Care certification, completed through the programValid driver's license with a safe driving recordAbility to pass the Background Record Check required by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and CareEducationAssociate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferredExperience2-3 years of professional supervisory experience in the childcare field, including residential program experiencePhysical RequirementsFrequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbsPhysical agility to safely perform therapeutic restraints when neededBehavioral and Mental RequirementsAbility to stay steady in stressful situations and in work involving trauma and griefArbor Associates serves Southern New England, including Greater Boston, Central and Western Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
