The Company

Sonoran Doors has been building custom architectural doors and millwork in Phoenix for twenty-six years. The company is family-owned and known as a trusted manufacturing partner to luxury custom builders in Arizona and across the United States. Every project is custom.

The Role

The Project Manager owns every awarded project from the moment a contract is signed to the day it closes. The PM is the one voice to the builder, the driver of internal coordination, and the person who always knows where a job stands.

Sonoran Doors is growing, and dedicated Project Managers are the foundation of that growth. The PM is how we scale the experience our builders count on — responsive communication, on-time delivery, and uncompromising follow-through.

The Person

The Project Manager is a problem-solver. When challenges surface on a project — and they always do — the PM works them through to resolution personally. They gather the facts, weigh the options, decide on a path forward, and drive it to completion. They do not hand issues off to office staff to figure out.

The right candidate takes real ownership. They are calm under pressure, decisive when a call needs to be made, and thoughtful about how their communication lands with the builder. They get to every call. Phone calls are returned by the end of the business day, without exception. They pick up the phone before sending a third email. They follow through. They are the person the builder trusts to have it handled.

This role requires deep organization, real construction knowledge, and the judgment that comes from years of running complex projects. It also requires the temperament to be the steady presence at the center of every job — the one who keeps things moving when everything around them is competing for attention.

What You'll Own

•     The builder relationship from contract through closeout — every conversation, every update, every commitment

•     Thorough field measures completed on the first site visit — and immediately translated into an updated order that moves to the next phase (customer approval, production release, or otherwise) without delay. Measures do not sit.

•     Efficient routing and grouping of installers and field measures across active projects — driving productive time in the field, not miles on the odometer

•     Complete project packaging — preparing every job for production, purchasing, delivery, and installation

•     Internal kickoff meetings, drawing approval, and the hard-gate enforcement that keeps production protected

•     Installation dispatch across every phase of the build — pocket frames through final punch

•     Daily installer accountability and same-day billable flagging that drives our cash flow rhythm

•     Weekly status communication to every builder — clear, professional, and on time

•     Complete ownership of every challenge that arises on a project — worked through personally with the composure and thoroughness our builders expect

•     Punch list resolution within ten business days of installation

What Success Looks Like

•     Drawings approved within fourteen days of submission

•     Install phases hitting their committed date ninety percent of the time

•     Billable work flagged for invoicing the day it completes

•     Punch lists closed within ten business days

•     Job records updated in JobTread within twenty-four hours of activity

•     Builders who return for the next project — the truest measure of all
