CalBIS Operations Support Analyst – Analyst I (JC‑516053) Salary: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary for the classification or the minimum of the alternate range. Working Conditions Hybrid telework is available, with two in‑person days at the Sacramento headquarters per week. Employees may work from home on all other days, subject to the Governor’s executive order requiring a minimum of four in‑person days per week starting July 1, 2025. Minimum Requirements Salary ranges: Class A $3,861.00 – $4,839.00; Class B $4,181.00 – $5,233.00; Class C $5,014.00 – $6,276.00. New to State candidates must begin at the lowest salary listed for the classification. Eligible applicants must pass the Analyst I Civil Service exam (Exam Bulletin 4774). Acceptable proof of eligibility includes the exam score or an official transfer or reinstatement certificate. Department Information GO‑Biz (Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development) is California’s primary agency for job growth and economic development. Services include business attraction, retention, expansion, site selection, permit streamlining, regulatory navigation, small business support, international trade development, and state‑government advisory. Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position are described in the duty statement. The analyst provides operational support to the CalBIS unit, assists with business development activities, manages customer relationship data, and collaborates with state, federal, and local partners. Desirable Qualifications Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or HubSpot. Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools: Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Canva, Mailchimp, and webinar, project, or scheduling platforms. Knowledge of federal, state, and local business development programs; consensus‑building and program management principles; statewide workforce and economic development trends. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare reports, proposals, and presentations at public events.
