CNC Machinist Supervisor

Overview Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay Range: $40–$55/hour (up to $110K - based on experience and qualifications) A well-established, family-owned manufacturing company in Hauppauge, NY is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Supervisor to join its team. Key Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC machining centers, mills, and lathes Optimize current and future programs using in-house software Perform equipment inspections and routine maintenance Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications Conduct first article inspections and verify measurements using precision instruments Ensure finished products meet quality and tolerance standards Follow SOPs, GMP, GDP, ISO procedures, and quality standards Operate multiple machining centers simultaneously as needed Maintain safe working practices and departmental compliance Support production schedules and workflow efficiency Train and mentor employees to improve skills and cross-functionality Maintain and update employee skills matrices and training records Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action investigations Monitor labor tracking and production performance metrics Coordinate incoming materials and communicate inventory needs Lead daily departmental operations and direct employee workflow Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure department cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S standards Professional Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required CNC Programming Certification or equivalent experience preferred Minimum 5 years of CNC machining setup and operating experience Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Must be able to pass pre-employment background, criminal, and drug screening #J-18808-Ljbffr
