Position: Medical Assistant

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 18:00)

Start Date: 11/02 or 11/16

Job Description

This position is for a Medical Assistant focused on clinical support in a Family Medicine practice. The role is designed as a 13-week contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position based on mutual agreement between the candidate and the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Perform basic rooming of patients.
Conduct well child checks and wellness visits.
Administer immunizations and assist with procedures.
Manage in-basket messages and paperwork.
Occasionally assist with front-office tasks including patient check-in/check-out, phone coverage, scheduling, and managing patient communications.
Support overall clinic flow as needed.

Qualifications

Years of Experience Required: 6 months
Certifications Required: BLS, MA-C or MA-R
Skills Required: Proficient in healthcare terminology, Epic charting system, and patient care support in adult outpatient clinics.

Additional Information

Locals Only: Candidates should reside within 50 miles of the facility.

Work Schedule: 4x10 days, likely with Thursdays off, subject to change. Must be available to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
