Java Developer

Job Title

Candidate must:

• Live in Pittsburgh work onsite 1-2 times per week (per RTO policy)
• Be willing/able to convert to a full time employee (goal is 6 months CTH)
• Have strong Java development background
• Any front end (Angular 8+) or Spark experience is preferred but not required.

Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.

• Degree required/type? BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Will position be a remote start or onsite? Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days remote
• If onsite- will you be open to candidates sitting in other locations such as Pittsburgh?
• Looking for Java Engineer with Spring Framework experience. The candidate should have experience in developing multi-threaded enterprise application and have knowledge of CI/CD as well.

• 7-10 years of experience
• Java, SQL (any relational database)
• Design/architecture
• Apache Kakfa as part of the solution
• Spark or Hasocache is a big plus
• Scala is a plus
• Ability to mentor junior developers is a big plus
• Hands on development (60-70%+ will be hands on development in this role)
• Financial services industry experience is a plus but not required
• Onsite/hybrid schedule Tuesdays/Thursdays
• Candidate must be willing/able to convert to full time
• Interviews will consist of a live code pair... agencies will not be required to complete HackerRank challenges as a part of the submittal/interview process.
