Production Control Clerk

Job Title: Production Control Clerk Work Location: Goose Creek, SC Labor Category: Non‑exempt | SCA (Service Contract Act) Pay Rate: $27.50/hour Health & Welfare: $5.09/hour up to 40 hours/week Scope of Work The Production Control Clerk compiles and records NNPTC production data to compare records and report on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. Responsibilities Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques. Calculate types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets. Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats; maintain files of documents used and prepared; compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products. Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities; compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies; chart production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel. Sort and distribute work tickets or material; compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll. Consistently produce quality products and service. Complete all training within required timeline. Perform all work in a safe and secure manner. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of three (3) years of functional experience with computers. Ability to maintain access to government worksite. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, and Word. Familiarity with preparation of various military and government forms. Courteous and positive attitude toward customers. Ability to follow policies, procedures, and operating instructions. Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of assigned tasks. Capability to work under tight time constraints in a high‑volume environment with multiple priorities. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain assigned work hours. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English. Ability to work well with others in a team setting or independently and to adapt to changes on short notice. Knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices. Valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record as required for the position. Physical Demands / Work Environment Lift up to 50 pounds; push, pull, carry, stoop, bend, squat, and reach for long periods. Work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary, including weekends and holidays. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions; work in confined spaces, at heights, and around hazards with appropriate PPE.
