Payroll Manager

Transdev in San Diego (Chula Vista) is hiring a Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager ensures accurate payroll processing, compliance with tax, benefit, and deduction regulations, and maintains employee records. Responsible for recruiting, training, and developing staff while providing leadership and guidance on payroll-related matters. The role includes preparing reports, managing year-end processes, and addressing employee inquiries. This position fosters a positive work environment while ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Reviews employee time records for accurate reporting and schedule compliance Processes adjustments, bonuses, and other payments as needed Prepares necessary reports for management and compliance purposes Ensures that all benefits, taxes, and other required deductions are properly implemented and processed Manages the employee and payroll files Manages the year-end statement process, including revisions Responds to employee and manager inquiries as required Recruits, selects, develops, manages, motivates, coaches, and mentors assigned employees; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs Maintains confidentiality of all information Other duties as required Qualifications High school diploma/GED; bachelor's degree preferred Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed Other duties as required Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
