Maritime Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Maritime Litigation Attorney to join its South Florida team in Miami, Florida. This role offers an opportunity to expand and develop a maritime litigation practice within a leading litigation firm. Duties Handle day‑to‑day management of maritime cases. Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions. Guide plaintiff clients through the case process. Interact with expert witnesses, including drafting reports and affidavits. Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances. Requirements Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar. Ideally 4+ years of personal injury litigation experience, preferably in maritime law. Ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases and take them to trial. Excellent client service and communication skills. Self‑starter driven by long‑term career goals. Superior writing and oral advocacy skills. Education Law degree (Juris Doctor) from a fully ABA‑accredited law school. Certifications Active membership with the Florida Bar. Skills Strong litigation and case management skills. Effective communication and client service abilities. Proficient in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
