Basketball Instructor

Under the direction of the Pavilion Director, theBasketball Instructoris responsibleforproviding recreational experiences that enhanceourathletic programming. Thisindividual ensuresthe delivery of professional, high-qualityprograms to our members while always exceeding expectations. Thisposition will require an extensive knowledge ofrecreational basketball,age-appropriateinstruction,and effective group control,as well as a talent for engaging studentsin activities that support their overall physical and mental health. Actively further Club objectives and continuously support improvement and positive change, which includes participating on corporate designated committees to improve the company and business operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Minimum of one year of basketball coaching experience Experienceworking with children in an educationalor recreationalsettingpreferred Ability to create and implement innovativeyouth sport or fitnessprogramlesson plans Passionforyouthdevelopmentandexperience working with youth between 4-18 yrs. Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player Self-motivated, takes initiative and willing to acquire new skills Well organized and detail oriented CPR certification required

Sitting and standing is as needed Requires occasional physical exertion such as bending, twisting, sitting, stooping, and use of hands and fingers Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel;and reach with hands and arms Frequently required to climb or balance and occasionallystoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must occasionally sit for extended periods and regularly walk around the facility Must occasionally talk and hear Occasional lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to demonstrate safe exercise and perform equipment techniques Must have the ability to perform CPR and administer first aid as needed It is necessary for the position to travel independently to property locations on a minimal basis
