The Kings County District Attorney’s Office is seeking seasoned attorneys with at least 5 years of litigation and investigative experience to join the Office in its Investigations Division, Public Integrity Bureau (PIB). PIB investigates corruption and crimes committed by public officials at all levels of government, including fraud, theft of public funds, bribery, procurement crimes, corruption in the courts, attorney embezzlement, and fraud in government programs.

Applicants must be able to handle a high volume of work with strict adherence to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. They should be able to think and work independently and collaborate with other bureaus and with City, State, and Federal law‑enforcement agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long‑term investigations, grand jury presentations, trials, and prosecutions in public corruption, attorney embezzlement, organized crime, and fraud areas.
• Handle a docket of court cases covering the various fraud and corruption areas.
• Develop investigative plans and manage cases through all stages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent investigative skills, including drafting subpoenas, interviewing witnesses, analyzing financial and business records, and creating investigative plans.
• Strong writing skills with experience drafting search warrants, pen registers, eavesdropping and GPS warrants.
• Strong courtroom advocacy skills, including trials and grand jury presentations.
• Working knowledge of computer technology and participation in sophisticated cybercrime investigations.
• Proven record of managing an investigative team in long‑term, proactive investigations into complex criminal organizations.
• Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience interacting with City agencies, the Attorney Grievance Committees, the New York City Department of Investigation, and the New York State Office of the Inspector General.
