Schedule: Monday - Thursday

Weekly Hours: 34 hours per week

Employment Type: Year-Round Full-Time

Pay Rate: $23.47 - $28.00 per hour, based on education and experience

Position Overview:

Maintain inventory and warehouse operations for the Housing & Energy Department, including ordering, receiving, tracking, and distributing materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. Prepare weatherization materials for field crews, maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate equipment maintenance, and ensure compliance with department procedures and funding requirements.

Education and Certification:
Required high school diploma or GED. Must obtain forklift certification within sixty days of hire.

Experience:
Three years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, materials management, or a related field. Experience using inventory management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ordering supplies, materials, tools, equipment for the department ensuring all funding procurement methods and protocols are followed; maintain and purchase code books for department.
• Oversees warehouse inventory operations, including receiving deliveries, ordering materials, stocking inventory, processing returns, and maintaining inventory control systems. Performs quarterly and annual physical inventories and ongoing cycle counts to maximize inventory accuracy, reduce shrinkage, minimize waste, and support effective asset management and cost-control efforts.
• Coordinates daily material loading and return activities for field crews, ensuring timely material availability and accurate inventory tracking. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in accordance with safety standards to support efficient warehouse and field operations
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the warehouse.
• Work with the Maintenance Training Specialist to schedule, track and maintain vehicle/fleet and equipment maintenance and repair for department.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and inventory transactions in agency databases and tracking systems.
• Maintain and update Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of program requirements, standards, policies and procedures and changes/updates to local, state and federal regulations.
• Review crew packet for accuracy and completion, ensure the packet contains everything required within the packet checklist. Enter crew hours, material used and inventory into database for job cost reports for verification and to prepare monthly reports related to hours and inventory.
• Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
• May occasionally be required to work in excess of scheduled hours in order to fulfill position requirements. May travel out-of-town with occasional overnight stays.

Additional Requirements:

• Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and safe driving record.
• Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
• Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
• Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.
