Job Title: Project Manager – Strategic Sourcing

Position Overview

A growing organization is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate high-impact strategic sourcing and cross-functional business initiatives from concept through implementation. This individual will be responsible for driving projects forward by partnering with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and leadership teams to ensure timelines, deliverables, and business objectives are achieved successfully.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting sourcing initiatives, supplier engagement activities, and RFP/RFI processes is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined and successfully executed.

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements aligned with business priorities established by senior leadership.

• Partner with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to coordinate project activities, clarify responsibilities, and maintain accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure projects remain on track and within scope.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, providing regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

• Identify project risks, obstacles, and potential delays while developing proactive mitigation strategies.

• Facilitate problem-solving discussions and drive resolution of issues impacting project execution.

• Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier coordination, data collection, RFP/RFI support, and implementation activities.

• Ensure project deliverables meet established quality, operational, and business standards.

• Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and performance summaries to management and stakeholders.

• Coordinate project closeout activities, including documentation, lessons learned, and transition planning where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

• 5–10 years of project management experience within manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related business environments.

• Experience supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management activities, and RFP/RFI processes is strongly preferred.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and leadership levels.

• Proven ability to manage projects within established timelines and budgets.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

• Proficiency with project management software, business analytics tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
