Maintenance Mechanic I

Production Equipment MaintenanceResponsible for maintaining production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Follows GMP's and SOPs to ensure a safe and quality product. Assist with the disassembly and reassembly as needed.Required Qualifications:Electrical trouble shooting knowledge.Mechanical Aptitude.Preferred Qualifications:Applicable technical certification.Food Manufacturing or packaging experience.Responsibilities:Ensure "Safety First" is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.Adhere to all safety procedures including Machine Guarding, LOTO, IIPP, etc.Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.Tests equipment to check operation. Tries out equipment after repairs or extended downtime.Checks product for visual and quality defects.Performs preventive maintenance and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.Examines machine issues, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily shift report.Notifies maintenance department lead or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.Instructs and directs any maintenance trainees assigned.Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SOPs.Responsible for reporting Food Defense observations to Quality Teams.Perform additional duties as assigned byFacility repairs as needed.Physical Requirements/Environment:Capable of lifting, push, pulling up to 50 poundsFrequent standing walking, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing stairs.Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position.Fast-paced product/packaging work environmentLatitude 36 Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we take great pride in our diverse and talented workforce.
