Role Description The Account Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, responsible for supporting the financial and customer-related activities of university accounts. This role includes managing assigned accounts, monitoring transactions, reconciling records, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. The Account Specialist responds to inquiries from internal departments and external partners, provides timely and accurate account information, and helps resolve billing or service issues. Daily tasks also involve preparing reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality. The individual in this role collaborates with cross-functional teams and maintains clear documentation to support operational and audit requirements. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support accurate financial and account-related decisions. Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with students, colleagues, and external partners. Candidates should possess foundational Finance skills to understand budgeting, account reconciliation, and basic financial reporting. Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. Candidates should possess effective Account Management skills to oversee multiple accounts, track activity, and ensure timely follow-up. Relevant qualifications may include a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
