Registered Nurse - Progressive Critical Care Unit

Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU) care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients. Responsibilities include managing cases involving respiratory failure, sepsis, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, and complex traumas among others. The nursing staff is essential in delivering high-quality care in an intensive setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for high acuity patients, managing their complex medical and surgical needs.
• Utilize advanced hemodynamic monitoring and manage various drips including antihypertensive, sedative, and narcan drips.
• Administer therapies such as High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, and CPAP.
• Participate in the care of patients with closed head injuries and surgical complications.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols and other hospital guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• Must hold a valid RN license.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Experience in Progressive Care Units or Intensive Care Units is preferred.

Schedule

This position requires working nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with an acceptance of 48 hours per week.
