As a member of the I&T department, the candidate will work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at our Woodland Hills, CA facility. This position will be 100% on-site.Job ResponsibilitiesIdentifying unique requirements from a broad customer base, flowing the requirements into design documentation, and working with a diverse team to build and test those requirementsWork on the capabilities of current products, performance analyses, design information, and requirements verification methodsEnsure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsPerform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocationGenerate, review, and manage multiple requirements sets that cover all aspects of both performance and nonperformance including mechanical interfaces, electrical interfaces, data requirements, environmental requirements, and reliabilityDesign, develop, and implement testing methods to verify and validate project requirementsPerforming hands-on electrical testing at CCA level and systems level test setupsDocumenting & dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause & corrective actionsBasic Qualifications:8 years relevant experience with B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline equivalent; or 6 years relevant experience with M.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline equivalent; or 3 years relevant experience with PhD Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline equivalentActive US Government Secret Level security clearanceExperience in System Engineering activities such as:Requirements developmentTest Procedure developmentVerification and Validation i.e. experience running tests and documenting resultsAbility to diagnose complex issues, lead problem-solving efforts, and drive tasks to completionDemonstrated teamwork and leadership of projects or teamsStrong written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to work onsite in Woodland Hills, Ca as required by this positionPreferred Qualifications:Active US Government TS/SCI with poly security clearanceExperience with IBM Rational DOORS and technical baseline managementSystems Engineering experience on large, complex systemsExperience supporting test investigations and debugging effortsProficient in at least one of the following programming environments: MATLAB, C, C++, C#, and/or PythonExperience creating automated test scripts that integrate with hardware interfacesWorking knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzersWorking knowledge of standard design components: filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers, etc.Experience working with operational hazards such as overhead lifting, Thermal Chambers, and Vibration Test systemsStrong track record of driving innovation and spearheading digital-transformation initiatives in test workflowsExperience engaging external customers through meetings, presentations, and technical negotiationsPrimary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
