Office Professional I

North Star High School is looking for a Library Office Professional candidate who can be a positive team member and establish a professional and respectful rapport with students, staff, parents, and visitors as they come into the Library at North Star. This individual will also be expected to function as a positive member of the overall library team and show a willingness to help others. The candidate must be willing to learn new skills as needed, be adaptable, and be able to problem-solve. Knowledge of the following computer programs is preferred Microsoft Office Suites, Google Suites, and Synergy. Requirements: Must be able to work independently, have strong organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, word processing and data entry skills, have excellent customer service skills, and have an HS diploma or GED. Office experience in a school setting is preferred.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist with check out and checking in of library materials via Destiny Discover
• Assist with Carousel software to post on t.v. monitors using Canva
• Room reservations in Google Calendar (sharing with librarian)
• Digital e-Hall pass - checking students in and out as they come to the library
• Chromebooks: check in and out, troubleshooting
• Sharing audio and video files with students and/or teachers for school projects
• Communicating with librarian re: daily schedule, questions that arise, etc.
• Laminating for staff
• Answer circulation desk phone and direct inquiries
• Maintain production room machines and supplies,
• Communicating with custodial staff for supply and cleaning needs
• Manage interlibrary loan if requested by the librarian
• Support student reward program

This position is subject to Veterans preference.

This position pays $19.88/hr.
