International Master Of Public Administration Program Coordinator

International Master of Public Administration Program Coordinator will spend the year in residence in the Fox Family Pavilion providing research, teaching support, student support, data analytics, and AI-related work for the University of Pennsylvania's International Master of Public Administration (I-MPA) program. This is a one-year term appointment.

Responsibilities

• Course Coordination & Academic Operations- Serve as the primary academic coordinator for I-MPA 6030 & 6031 ("Quantitative Reasoning for Real-Time Problem-Solving"). Coordinate all instructional logistics, including scheduling and facilitating lab sessions and recitations, supporting lecture operations, and managing course communications. Assist in ongoing course development and curricular refinement. Oversee academic assessment processes, maintain accurate course records, and ensure alignment with program standards and reporting requirements.
• Faculty Research Support & Program Planning, AI Initiative- Support I-MPA faculty and senior staff in the research and deliberative process surrounding the present and potential role of artificial intelligence in the program. Coordinate meetings and working sessions, compile and synthesize relevant materials, track action items and deadlines, and assist with documentation and reporting of findings to inform programmatic planning and decision-making.
• Curriculum Development Support- Support the academic coordination and curriculum development of the spring 2027 offering of I-MPA 6200 ("Global Leadership and Problem-Solving: Existential Threats to Human Well-Being"). Assist faculty in developing and organizing course materials, with a focus on the AI-focused case study component. Coordinate instructional logistics, liaise with enrolled students on course expectations and resources, and support the integration of new content into the broader program curriculum.
• Academic Program Support, Quantitative Curriculum- Provide academic and operational support to I-MPA spring courses incorporating quantitative estimation and analytical frameworks (e.g., I-MPA 6096, "Global Problem Solving and Program Evaluation: Eldercare in Asia"). Assist faculty in coordinating course exercises, managing student-facing logistics, and ensuring smooth delivery of program content in alignment with I-MPA academic goals.
• Administrative & Liaison Responsibilities- Report to Associate Director Danning Chen and fulfill additional administrative responsibilities as assigned. Act as a departmental point of contact for students, faculty, and staff on matters related to supported courses and program operations. Assist in maintaining up-to-date program documentation and support broader I-MPA administrative needs as they arise.

Qualifications

• High School Grad/GE Degree and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Master's degree or higher in Public Administration is strongly preferred
• Strong quantitative and data analytics skills.
• Advanced technology and AI competency.
• MPA-level training and public policy knowledge.
• Student advising and teaching support experience.
• Research and curriculum-development capabilities.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
