Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate professional to provide exceptional care to critically ill children in a fast-paced environment.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to treatments, reporting any significant changes to the medical team.Assist in the management of complex medical equipment and invasive procedures.Educate families on their child's health condition and care needs during their hospital stay.Support patients and families during emergencies and critical situations.Shift and ScheduleShift: Night 4x12 Hour (19:00 - 07:00)Work 52 weeks, with a schedule including every other holiday and participation in 2 out of 3 winter holidays.Must work 3 weekends within a six-week schedule cycle.Time off may be restricted during the first two weeks of the contract.A maximum of 40 hours of time off can be approved.QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license, with a Virginia license pending accepted.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.Experience in Pediatric cardiac care is a plus.Flexibility to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs.If you are a passionate and skilled RN looking to make a difference in the lives of pediatric patients, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity in the PICU.
