At the Ideal Tridon Group, connections arent just what we maketheyre the heart of everything we do./ppWe are seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Technician for Wesanco at our Garden Grove plant!/ppSchedule: Sunday - Thursday/pp3rd Shift: 10:00pm - 6:30am/ppHourly Range: $32.00 - $38.00/ppPosition Summary:/ppThis position is responsible for ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment; locating the source of problems and observing mechanical devices; removing defective parts and dismantling equipment; determining changes in dimensional requirements; adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, performing routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance; fabricating repair parts; maintaining equipment, parts, and supply inventory; and providing mechanical maintenance information and reports. This position will report to the shift supervisor./ppDuties/Responsibilities:/pulliCompletes preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines./liliFollows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturers instructions, and engineering specifications./liliTroubleshoots malfunctions and listening for problems./liliUses precision measuring and testing instruments./liliUses hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools./liliUse of rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments./liliAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges/liliControls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance./liliFabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment./liliMaintains equipment, parts, and supply inventory./liliConserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results./liliProvides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests./liliPrepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends./liliMaintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs./liliMaintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations/liliContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed./liliAdditional responsibilities include machine and auxiliary equipment preventative measures./liliPerforms assigned maintenance activities to ensure Garden Grove facilities are operating to meet quality requirements./liliCompletes Labor Tickets with the knowledge and understanding of materials contained in the Document Center./liliIdentifies and removes slip, trip, and fall hazards./liliResponsible for plumbing, painting, and drywall installation and/or removal./liliSet up cubicles and assist with equipment moves./liliResponsible for minor dock door and leveler repairs. (Door adjustments, Cable replacement, Light electrical)./li/ulpRequired Skills/Abilities:/pulliExcellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery/liliAbility to follow instructions and learn the production process./liliExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail/liliExcellent time management skills/liliAbility to perform repetitive tasks./liliMaintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks./liliNot scared of heights such as working from a flat roof, ladders and mobile elevated working platforms. Must be able to pass a test to operate a forklift and boom lift./liliPlumbing skills. Must be able to clear clogged drains, re-route water lines, make repairs to toilets, sinks and urinals/liliBasic electrical troubleshooting skills. Needs to be able to replace and repair light fixtures, replace switches, read a voltage meter and troubleshoot minor electrical issues./liliBasic knowledge of fire suppression systems, compressed air, HVAC and exhaust fans in order to complete PMs assigned./liliEnsures compliance with the Quality Management System and the Environmental Management System./liliResponsible for working with and maintaining relationships with outside contractors such as HVAC, Plumbers, Roofing, Dock service, and Lawn Care providers/li/ulpEducation and Experience:/pulliAssociate degree or completion of qualified apprenticeship program/liliMinimum of 2 year of related work experience/liliSelf-motivated./liliKnowledge of inventory systems/liliCapable of utilizing basic math skills/liliCapable of using scan guns and ERP software/liliDetail-oriented/liliHilo certified or able to become certified in operating lift equipment./liliMust be able to clear drug screen and background check./liliMust have reliable transportation./liliWelding and/or Roll Mill operation experience is a plus.**/li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliProlonged periods of standing entire shift/liliMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times./liliMust be able to bend and twist throughout entire shift. hearing and/or eye protection/li/ulpPhysical Demands of Work Environment:/ppThe ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation as you will frequently walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, operate, activate, inspect, place, detect, position, grasp or squeeze, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb, talk/hear to communicate, detect, converse with discern, convey, exchange information; see to detect, distinguish, identify, inspect, estimate.
