Clinical Research Coordinator

Job Description Coordinate clinical research studies across Alianza's expanding CRO operations in Puerto Rico, ensuring compliance, sponsor success, and a strong participant experience. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage all phases of clinical research studies, including study start-up, patient enrollment, monitoring visits, and closeout activities Ensure compliance with FDA, ICH-GCP, HIPAA, IRB, and sponsor requirements across all assigned studies Collaborate with physicians, site staff, sponsors, and CRO partners to support successful study execution and participant engagement Maintain accurate study documentation, regulatory binders, informed consent records, and source documentation Support patient recruitment, scheduling, education, and retention efforts while ensuring positive participant experience Conduct site visits and provide operational support across Alianza clinics and affiliated partner locations throughout Puerto Rico Monitor study timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements to ensure milestones are achieved efficiently Assist with audits, sponsor monitoring visits, and internal quality assurance initiatives Requirements Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Life Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field Minimum 5 years clinical research coordination experience in healthcare, hospital, physician practice, or CRO environment Strong knowledge of clinical trial regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, and research compliance standards Experience with multi-site studies, regulatory submissions, and sponsor communications Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) Ability to travel up to 30% across Puerto Rico Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills Electronic data capture systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and research documentation systems experience (preferred) Benefits Make a Measurable Difference Every Day As a Clinical Research Coordinator at Alianza Health Partners, you are the operational backbone of studies that bring novel therapies and medical innovation directly to patients across Puerto Rico. You will work alongside physicians who already know the participants, supported by EMR/EHR data and a centralized coordination team. Studies move faster here because the infrastructure for recruitment, scheduling, and follow-up already exists. What you bring is the GCP discipline, sponsor-facing professionalism, and on-the-ground coordination that turn that infrastructure into successfully executed trials. Island-Wide Reach This role is San Juan-based with approximately 30% travel across Puerto Rico, supporting Alianza clinics and affiliated partner sites. You will become deeply familiar with the operational rhythm of multi-site research on the island and play a direct role in expanding which communities have access to clinical trials.
