(USA) Bakery Lead

Position Summary As a Bakery Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver more of what members love, for less. You will model expertise in Bakery and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the club meets members’ expectations. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership – supervise the Bakery department team, communicate department goals, execute company programs, and advocate for members, associates, and the company. Bakery Expertise – maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product specifications, and seasonality; ensure quality, inventory, equipment, safety, sanitation, and compliance; train the team on new products, recipes, and production specifications. Digital Tools – leverage handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and quality; adopt and encourage new digital tools. Operational Ownership – drive business results, maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area, plan and staff for weekly volumes, ensure consistency in quality, food safety, and company policies, maintain accurate inventory audit and compliance, and display merchandise per layout plan. Talent Development – teach and train the team, identify training needs, develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally and externally. Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyze information, monitor progress, and identify improvement opportunities. Promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics; assist management with corrective actions. Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools; coordinate work assignments, provide feedback, and model adaptation to change. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Will complete all required training and assessments within the prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Experience in bakery production, including decorating. Premiums: $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed; multiple premiums may apply.
