Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Telemetry Medical Surgical Float – Portland, Maine. This float pool position supports Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units and requires flexibility to work across multiple clinical areas. The role provides care for acute-care patients and requires the ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license in Maine; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; one year of travel experience; Level 1 trauma acute-care hospital experience; ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; two years of inpatient hospital experience; two years of travel assignment experience or prior float pool experience.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position requires floating to multiple units every shift. Patient assignments vary by unit, with typical ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Flexibility is essential. Clean, professional scrubs of any color are permitted; jeans, T-shirts, open-toed shoes, and shoes with holes are not permitted.
