Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,315 a week in all, a taxable rate of $25.61 an hour plus $1,393 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Medical Surgical with Telemetry RN – Portland, ME. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with respiratory, medical telemetry, and various acute and chronic medical conditions. The role requires flexibility to float within units and a focus on patient-centered care.

Job Details

• Position Type: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Telemetry, IMC
• Location: Portland, ME
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification, minimum of 0 years of experience in a related setting, current licensure as an RN, and availability to work day and night shifts.
• Additional Information: IMC RNs must have ventilator experience, and all RNs need experience with tracheostomy care and reading/interpreting telemetry strips.
• Responsibilities include managing ventilator equipment, BiPaP, CPAP, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care.
• The unit cares for patients with respiratory issues, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and other acute or chronic conditions.
• PPE and uniform: Scrubs, with no unprofessional attire permitted.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submission: Candidates must meet the qualifications and be available to start on 11/09/2026, with the assignment ending on 02/15/2027.
